Guards
Goran Dragic (MIA): $6,100 @ ATL
Dragic is up against the Hawks tonight who are one of the worst teams in the league and struggle at defending opposing point guards. The Hawks are giving up 45 DraftKings points per game to point guards putting Dragic in a solid spot to succeed. He has 26 or more DraftKings points in four of his last seven games and a 27.8% usage rate. I really like this spot for him tonight since he isn’t overpriced and has a favorable matchup against a weak team. With Hassan Whiteside off the floor, Dragic has taken 10 or more field goal attempts in nine of his last 10 games.
Wesley Matthews (DAL): $4,700 vs. PHO
Matthews is up against the Suns tonight who play at a very high pace. A faster pace means extra possessions for the opposing team, and generally, their price isn’t adjusted for the potential increase. Matthews certainly isn’t one of the flashier players to roster in NBA DFS, but he is consistent and doesn’t really need a ton of points in order to reach 5x value. He has 22 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five games. The Suns are giving up 43 DK points per game to shooting guards.

Forwards
Ben Simmons (PHI): $9,600 @ CHI
We know that Joel Embiid will be out for tonight’s game so more of the offense should fall onto Simmons. When Embiid is off the court, Simmons has a 29% usage rate which is a 4.6% increase from his normal level. He is also averaging 1.22 fantasy points per minute so we are getting well-rounded production from him. It also helps that he is a double-double or triple-double threat nearly every single night. He is up against the Bulls who are giving up 42 DraftKings points per game which is in the bottom 10 of the league.
Carmelo Anthony (OKC): $6,500 vs. DEN
Anthony is up against his former team tonight. No, he is not playing the Knicks again. He is up against Denver. If you like a good DFS narrative then this might be the spot for you. Anthony has 24 or more DraftKings points in six of his last 10 games, and while those might not be numbers we are accustomed to seeing from him, the entire Thunder offense has been struggling a bit but this is a good spot for them. The Nuggets are giving up 50 DraftKings points per game to power forwards which fourth worst in the league.
Centers
Amir Johnson (PHI): $3,500 @ CHI
It has already been confirmed that Johnson will get the start tonight since Joel Embiid will be rested. Johnson is almost minimum salary so he brings a ton of savings to your lineup and opens up easier roster construction paths to the higher priced players. He will certainly be one of the chalkier options when it comes to cash games tonight and is looking like a lock due to his matchup. He is facing off against the Bulls, who are giving up 52 DraftKings points per game to centers which is 11th worst in the league. Not only is this a good spot for any center, but the savings Johnson brings cannot be passed up.
Al Horford (BOS): $6,900 @ IND
Horford’s price has come down from $7,500 where it was just eight days ago, yet he has posted three games of 33 DraftKings points or more since then. This pricing seems a bit odd, and we want to take advantage of this since he really should be more expensive given how well he has been playing. That’s not to mention he is up against the Pacers who are giving up 59 DraftKings points per game to centers, dead last in the league.
