Monday night in the Association features a mini three-game slate. My lineup recommendations for the slate take a GPP angle, including a risky full fade of the Warriors. They have some playing time risk as a huge home favorite and although I expect the game to play closer than the line indicates, they are facing a solid all-around defensive team in the Miami Heat. So, fade the Warriors it is.

Point Guard
Kyrie Irving (BOS): $9,500 @ ATL
Before Irving’s dud against the Magic on Sunday, he had reeled off five straight games of at least 40 FanDuel points. He should be able to bounce back in a big way with a favorable matchup against the Hawks who have allowed the sixth most FanDuel points to opposing PGs. Irving also posted some big games against the Hawks last season (albeit with the Cavaliers) averaging 33.8 points and 7.0 assists in four meetings.
Tyler Johnson (MIA): $3,900 @ GS
Johnson should see a bump his in production on Monday again assuming that Dion Waiters misses another game. On Sunday with Waiters out, Johnson put up 19 points while chipping in a few rebounds, assists and steals in a season-high 33 minutes of action. Johnson is a great low-cost, high-upside option that fits perfectly for GPP consideration.

Shooting Guard
Devin Booker (PHO): $8,200 vs BKN
On a short slate of games, I want to get the top player for as many of the teams as possible. For Monday’s slate, this means paying up at SG to snag Booker and his opposition, D’Angelo Russell. The two teams squared off in Brooklyn a week ago in a game that saw 236 points scored, including 32 from Booker. The Nets have allowed the most FanDuel points per game to opposing SGs this season.
D’Angelo Russell (BKN): $8,000 @ PHO
In the same game that Booker put up 32 points, Russell responded on the other side with a 33-point effort that night. Fireworks should ensue again on Monday when the two teams meet in Phoenix as the Suns have allowed the fourth most FanDuel points to opposing SGs.
Small Forward
T.J. Warren (PHO): $6,200 vs BKN
Take your pick for this SF spot between Warren and his opposition DeMarre Carroll who are priced exactly the same at $6,200. I’d probably lean toward Carroll in Cash games, but Warren has more upside suitable for GPPs as he showed with a 40-point performance last week. I’m willing to throw out his last two games where he left one game early and then played against the Spurs. Look for Warren to rebound back to a similar line he posted against the Nets last week where he posted 20 points and 11 rebounds on his way to 36.2 FanDuel points.
Jaylen Brown (BOS): $5,700 @ ATL
The return of Marcus Morris to the team hasn’t affected Brown’s production as he has topped 28 FanDuel points in each game since Morris has returned. Morris is expected to sit out on Monday in the second game of a back-to-back which could even give Brown a little boost in a plus matchup for the SF against the Hawks who have allowed the fourth most FanDuel points to opposing SFs. With a lot of solid mid-prices SF option on the slate, it is hard to consider playing up for Kevin Durant even in Cash games.
Power Forward
John Collins (ATL): $5,800 vs BOS
The PF position on Monday is all about the Hawks who are thin down low with injuries to Ersan Ilyasova and Mike Muscala. Collins has played very well as a rookie off the bench and has seen his production spike even higher the last two games averaging 26 minutes with 10.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. He should see close to 30 minutes again on Monday in a favorable matchup against the Celtics who have allowed the ninth most FanDuel points to opposing PFs.
Luke Babbitt (ATL): $3,800 vs BOS
Babbitt jumped into the starting lineup on Sunday with all of the injured big men in Atlanta and responded, playing 42 minutes, while posting 17 points, three rebounds and two assists against the Cavaliers. Babbitt should get the start again on Monday and while he might not reach 40 minutes he should be a lock for at least 35 in a favorable matchup against the Celtics.
Center
Hassan Whiteside (MIA): $8,700 @ GS
Whiteside is far and away the best option at center on the small three-game slate. He has ramped up his minutes since returning from injury including playing 31 minutes while producing 21 points and 17 rebounds against the Clippers on Sunday. He had a lot of success against the Warriors last season averaging 18.0 points and 17.5 rebounds in two meetings. If the Heat are going to keep the game close against the Warriors, Whiteside will need to be a beast down low.
