It may be Black Friday, but basketball is still kickin’ with a nine-game main slate. There are several terrific plays to build around, but not much in the way of value plays so we will have to get a little creative. Let me show you how I navigated through the slate.

Point Guard
Kyrie Irving (BOS): $8,500 vs ORL
Irving has not quite been the standard of consistency this season, but over the past five games, he has at least 36 points per contest and is averaging 5x value. Add in the fact that he gets the Magic, who are a bottom two defensive team against point guards and he is about as safe of a star as you’ll be able to find on the slate.
Kemba Walker (CHA): $8,200 @ CLE
Just moments ago, Nicolas Batum was ruled out, which means even more of Kemba than usual. He has been breaking out this season as one of the games most underrated stars. Tonight, he’ll go up against Jose Calderon and should have no trouble reaching 5x value in what is projected to be a high-scoring, close fought contest.

Shooting Guard
Tyreke Evans (MEM): $7,300 @ DEN
Mike Conley is out for the Grizzlies which means a large majority of the offense will revolve around Marc Gasol and Tyreke. Evans has at least 30 FanDuel points in 10 of his last 12 games including 4 blowups for 40+. Tonight, he should shred the Nuggets, who have been in the bottom 2 out of 30 teams at defending shooting guards this season.
E’Twaun Moore (NO): $4,400 @ PHO
Phoenix doesn’t play a lick of defense and Vegas sees the trend continuing tonight as they have slated this game as a 229.5 over/under with New Orleans implied for 118 points. It would be nice to get our hands on four Pelicans this evening, but Moore is the most important one to get into your lineup because his price point helps us squeeze in some stars. He’s got at least 4x value in each of his last 7 games with a ceiling of 8x on the table.
Small Forward
Denzel Valentine (CHI): $5,100 @ GS
Chicago has been abysmal this season and Denzel has emerged of late as one of their best offensive weapons. He has posted 7x value twice in the past four games and has that kind of upside against the Warriors in what should be a fast-paced game. If he can get 30+ minutes again without running into foul trouble, he is a near lock at hitting value because of all the ways he can pile up points.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (CHA): $5,100 @ CLE
Small forward is a tricky position tonight and there are no locks, so we will have to take a risk here. MKC has had three rough games in his last five, but went for 8x and near 6x value in the other two. This is a near-perfect matchup and a game slate that ought to help him hit value this evening.
Power Forward
Anthony Davis (NO): $11,300 @ PHO
As I mentioned earlier, the Pelicans are implied for a whopping 118 points against the Suns tonight. Davis, as you might imagine, should be a huge part of that. He has only hit 50 FanDuel points in two of his last five games, but it has only happened four times all season, so don’t be too discouraged. He will bounce back and is the must-play of the night.
John Collins (ATL): $5,700 vs NY
This one almost feels like cheating, as Collins’ price is likely to soar another $2,000 in the coming week. With Mike Muscala and Luke Babbitt out tonight, Collins should have no problem reaching 35+ minutes again. Every time he has played at least 25 this season, he has 35+ FanDuel points, so it is fair to say we should expect 6x value with a chance at 9x this evening.
Center
Greg Monroe (PHO): $4,100 vs NO
While it would be nice to use DeMarcus Cousins with Anthony Davis tonight, there isn’t quite enough money to go around and he hasn’t been consistent enough lately. Monroe, meanwhile, is an incredible bargain. Since coming over to Phoenix, he has his 8x value twice and 5x value once with a bust in the middle. In tonight’s high-scoring fight versus the Pelicans, he should crush value once again.
