We have a short five-game slate on tap for tonight, so that means fewer options at each position. Even with the lack of options, there are three games with totals of 213 points or higher, so there should be plenty of offense to go around. It may be early in the season, but a few injuries are popping up, so be sure to verify your players are confirmed and in the lineup tonight.

Guards
Goran Dragic (MIA): $6,800 @ PHO
Anytime the Suns are on the slate, you generally want to target them, since they are weak on defense, and they play at a high pace. This is a great combination for DFS since the opposing team will see extra looks and be able to put up more points. Really, it’s one of the best spots to targets players, and if their price isn’t adjusted, you can load up on stars. Dragic has a team-high 25.6% usage rate and is averaging 0.94 fantasy points per minute. Great production out of the Dragon, and as I mentioned, he is up against the Suns who are giving up 54 fantasy points per game to point guards, which is worst in the league. It’s a prime spot for him, and since we have a smaller slate, he is viable in all formats. He has 29 or more DraftKings points in nine of his 10 games this season, so he has great consistency, which is great for cash games, and the favorable matchup gives upside for tournaments.

Jaylen Brown (BOS): $6,200 vs. LAL
There is one thing that is certain in the NBA right now. The Celtics are looking really good, and you want to get some exposure to them when you can. The Celtics are at home in a game with a total set at 208 points, giving them an implied team total of 108 points. They will be playing up in pace against the Lakers who are giving up 42 fantasy points per game to shooting guards. This favorable matchup puts Brown in a good spot, and with his 20% usage rate, he will see the ball plenty. Brown has 30 or more DraftKings points in three of his last four games and is averaging 0.78 fantasy points per minute. He doesn’t really provide a ton of assists, but he can chip in plenty with rebounds and has an outside chance at a double-double tonight. Brown has also taken five or more three-pointers in three of his last four games, so the scoring potential is there for him against a weak defensive team.
Forwards
Tobias Harris (DET): $6,600 vs. IND
Harris has a 25.4% usage rate and is averaging 0.89 fantasy points per minute, both of which are third on his team. He is up against the Pacers, and currently, I don’t see a line or total set for this game, but I don’t expect the total to be super high. Harris got off to a hot start this season and has cooled down a bit, but he is up against the Pacers who are giving up 40 fantasy points per game to small forwards. This is a spot for him to get back on track and really rack up some points. The one thing to take note of in his game is that he has taken 26 three-point shot attempts over the past four games. That is a lot, and if even a few more of those start falling, we could be talking about some serious points. He is in the middle of the road when it comes to salary tonight and will need 33 DraftKings points to pay off 5x value.
Aaron Gordon (ORL): $7,200 vs. NY
Gordon is one of the most exciting young players to watch in the NBA and also makes a great fantasy option. He has a 23.9% usage rate and is averaging 1.19 fantasy points per minute. Really strong production from him, and with that consistency, he makes a great cash game play tonight. He has scored in double-digit real points in every game this season and is flirting with a double-double in nearly every outing. He is up against the Knicks, who are allowing 39 fantasy points per game to power forwards, which is best in the league, but they are on the second night of a back-to-back. This game has a total set at 214 points, with the Magic favored by five points, so we should see a close game, which means starters will be playing more minutes.
Centers
Andre Drummond (DET): $8,400 vs. IND
Drummond has two straight games of 50 DraftKings points or more and will look to extend that streak tonight. He is up against the Pacers, who are giving up 59 fantasy points per game to centers, which is fourth worst in the league. Drummond is a double-double machine. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble and remain on the court. He is averaging 1.25 fantasy points per minute, which is massive, and he should be a lock for at least 40 DK points tonight. Love the consistency from him, and with his rebounding potential, the tournament upside is huge. No total set for this game yet, but the Pistons should be playing up in pace slightly, which will benefit Drummond.
