Tuesday features a nice big 10-game NBA slate to analyze with a wide range of Vegas spreads and totals. It seems like a lot of the value is currently at the guard positions so look to save some salary in the backcourt and pay up for some stud big men when constructing your lineups.
Note that some of the statistics that I reference are my own custom DvP adjustments using a blend year-to-date and last five games numbers and similar position weighting.

Anthony Davis (PF/C – NO): $11,200 @ IND
Davis has played at least 40 minutes in each of his last four games and will be matched up in a close game according to Vegas against the Pacers. The Pacers have been dominated by opposing big men allowing an increase in points (+22.3%), rebounds (+2.9%) and assists (+14.9%). While DeMarcus Cousins, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James are all solid plays in their own right, give me the extreme upside that Davis has in Tuesday’s matchup.

Core Plays
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $8,500 vs BKN
The Nuggets are part of the game with the highest Vegas total on the night against the Nets. The only danger in playing a bunch of Nuggets is the blowout potential with the Nuggets as a double-digit favorite. That said, Jokic’s salary is just too low to pass up. Outside of his last game, when he played limited minutes in a blowout loss to the Warriors, Jokic has scored at least 46 DraftKings points in five straight games which easily tops five times is current salary and none of those matchups are as good as Tuesday’s matchup with Nets who have allowed the fourth most DraftKings points to the position.
Paul George (SF – OKC): $7,400 @ SAC
George has been as steady as they come in his first season with the Thunder. He has produced at least 34 DraftKings points in seven out of nine games this season while averaging 36.4 DK points per game. There is some blowout potential in Sacramento but with the Thunder not involved in a back-to-back, the starters should still get their usual minutes while George could get a slight increase in points (+3.4%) and rebounds (+3.0%) against the Kings.
Khris Middleton (SG/SF – MIL): $7,000 @ CLE
Middleton has been the opposite of consistent this season, inconsistent one could say. His point totals the last four games are 16, 43, 9 and 27. While the production hasn’t been consistent at least the minutes are including topping 38 minutes in three of his last four games. With the Bucks on a three-game losing streak, look for Middleton to play big minutes again on Tuesday in a plus matchup against the Cavaliers who have allowed increased production across the board to opposing SGs in points (+7.5%), rebounds (+5.5%) and assists (+21.5%). Look for an upswing game from Middleton.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (SG/SF – NYK): $6,100 vs CHA
Hardaway’s salary has finally reached the point where you have to really contemplate if he can achieve the fantasy production necessary to achieve value based on the matchup. Tuesday is a good matchup for Hardaway against a Hornets’ team that has allowed the eighth most DraftKings points to opposing SGs. Hardaway has scored at least 29 DraftKings points in five straight games giving him a solid floor to go along with his big upside potential.
Value Plays
T.J. McConnell (PG – PHI): $4,800 @ UTH
I typically wouldn’t look to play too many players against the Jazz but I somehow have two value plays that I’m considering (along with Ben Simmons) due to Joel Embiid and Jerryd Bayless being ruled out. McConnell should join the starting lineup and play upwards of 30 minutes. He only has a neutral matchup against the Jazz but he can stuff the stat sheet in a variety of ways given that many minutes which should allow him to exceed value for his sub $5,000 salary.
JJ Redick (SG/SF – PHI): $4,500 @ UTH
Redick is the other Sixer that I’m giving strong consideration to. Redick’s usage has increased 6.1% when both Bayless and Embiid are off the court this season and he is coming off a 31-point effort on Friday against the Pacers. While the Jazz defense is better than the Pacers, the Jazz have allowed the seventh-highest field goal and three-point percent to opposing SGs this season which plays right into Redick’s game.
Donovan Mitchell (PG/SG – UTH): $4,600 vs PHI
Flipping to the other side of the court in the Sixers/Jazz matchup brings me to Mitchell who has been lighting it up the last three games. Over those three games, Mitchell is averaging over 30 minutes per game with 23.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 three-pointers. He should be able to continue his hot streak against a Sixers’ defense that has allowed increased production in points (+16.9%) to opposing SGs.
Joe Harris (SG/SF – BKN): $3,500 @ DEN
Harris saw extended run in Monday night’s game against the Suns due to the injury to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. With the Nets playing in the second game of a back-to-back, Hollis-Jefferson is questionable at best to play on Tuesday which should open the door for Harris to play 25-plus minutes against the Nuggets. Harris scored a season-high 18 points on Monday including three three-pointers and three boards. He is dirt cheap and makes for a great value pick as long as Hollis-Jefferson is out.
