The big 11-game Saturday night slate feels like a night where there is enough mid-range and cheap value to pay up for two studs with plenty of high-priced superstars to choose from. So, Saturday’s DraftKings lineup advice takes on a slightly different look with “two” studs along with a smattering of Core/Value plays to choose from.

Two Studs
Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF/PF – MIL): $11,200 vs LAL
Antetokounmpo has probably been the most consistent high-priced stud this season with is worst effort still resulting in 43.5 DraftKings points while he usually lives closer to 60 like he did against a tough Spurs’ defense on Friday. He gets a much easier matchup Saturday playing at home against the Lakers who have allowed the second most DK points to opposing SFs this season.
LeBron James (SF/PF – CLE): $10,800 @ DAL
I have less conviction in using James as the second stud option on the night as I would also strongly consider either of the Pelicans’ duo (Anthony Davis or DeMarcus Cousins). However, I’ll give the edge to James who continues to be a one-man show for the Cavaliers’ offense with Kyrie Irving out of town and Isaiah Thomas out with an injury. He has consistently played around 40 minutes a night and while his matchup with the Mavericks doesn’t scream that it is good, my metrics show that they have allowed increased production in points (+2.5%), rebounds (+13.5%) and assists (+9.3%) to opposing SFs.

Core/Value Plays
Brook Lopez (C – LAL): $5,800 @ MIL
Lopez will face a Bucks’ team that is getting beat up down low by opposing big men allowing an increase in scoring (+13.0%) and rebounds (+9.2%). He has flashed some bigger scoring potential over the last five games averaging 21.4 points per game. Lopez’s rebounding numbers are what usually hold him back from posting big fantasy days but he should actually have the advantage against the Bucks’ wiry big men in this matchup.
Donovan Mitchell (PG/SG – UTH): $5,600 vs BKN
Mitchell moved into the starting lineup on Friday and played a season-high 36 minutes. He didn’t post huge numbers but was in a tough matchup in a low scoring game against the Heat. Mitchell gets the opposite of a tough matchup on Saturday when the Jazz face the Nets who have allowed the most DK points to opposing SGs this season. Big minutes for Mitchell in this matchup will translate into big fantasy production.
Dennis Smith Jr (PG/SG – DAL): $5,400 vs CLE
Smith has started to string together some consistent play scoring at least 16 points in four straight games. He should be able to make it five straight against a Cavaliers’ defense that has allowed the ninth most DK points to opposing PGs this season including the sixth most assists which will help Smith’s go from a decent play to a very good one.
Lou Williams (PG/SG – LAC): $5,300 @ NO
Look out! Sweet Lou Williams is hot. Williams was forced into big minutes (39) on Friday with Patrick Beverley out and he responded with 35 points on 13-of-22 shooting including six from beyond the arc. Beverley will remain out on Saturday so another game with 35-plus minutes awaits Williams along with a Pelicans’ defense that has allowed the ninth most DK points to opposing SGs including the second most three-pointers per game. Bombs away!
Alex Len (PF/C – PHO): $4,900 vs MIN
The other darling of Friday night was Len who played 40 minutes with Tyson Chandler out. He produced with 21 points and 13 rebounds on his way to destroying value for his cheap salary. He will need to stay out of foul trouble against Karl-Anthony Towns on Saturday but as long as he can do that and Chandler sits out again then Len should crush value again.
Luke Babbitt (SF/PF – ATL): $3,600 @ WAS
If we are going to pay up for two high-priced studs then we need to scrounge the bottom of the barrel for some cheap value options. There is nothing sexy about rostering Babbitt, but he has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last five games and has reached at least five times his salary in each of those games. While Ersan Ilyasova remains out, Babbitt will continue to get run in the Hawks frontcourt and exceed value for is low salary.
Justin Jackson (SG/SF – SAC): $3,200 @ NY
Jackson appears to have found his role with Kings coming off the bench while still playing 30 minutes in each of their last two games. In those two games, Jackson is averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field with a pair of three-pointers in each game. Jackson should be able to score on the Knicks on Saturday and as long as he gets close to 30 minutes he will far exceed value for his dirt cheap salary.
