It is too early in the season to trust player’s efficiency numbers and overall production but I feel that we can start to trust the rotations and player’s minutes based on just a few games. In fact, I typically start my minute projections with each player’s last five games. So, while we are not quite there yet, some players have already established some consistent court time and that is what I’m looking for when building a Cash game lineup.
My FanDuel lineup advice for Monday’s eight-game NBA slate will focus on players who get consistently high minutes that I can build my Cash game lineup around.

Point Guard
John Wall (WAS): $10,300 @ DEN
I like to construct my lineup using a “one stud” strategy where I want to ensure that I identify who I feel the top high-priced stud is on the slate given their salary. While I’d love to roster Giannis Antetokounmpo, his massive $12,200 salary makes constructing a solid Cash game lineup difficult. So, that brings me to John Wall who is the top option on a Wizards’ team that is a small underdog on the road against the Nuggets in the game with the highest Vegas total on the slate. Wall is a lock for big minutes and solid across the board production that gives him the potential upside to match Antetokounmpo’s fantasy points while saving almost $2,000.

Goran Dragic (MIA): $7,100 vs ATL
You will notice the consistency theme throughout my recommendations. Dragic is a perfect example. He scored at least 15 points in 64 out of 73 games last season. This year, he has scored between 31-35 FanDuel points in each of his first two games while playing 30-plus minutes in each matchup. He has a favorable matchup against a Hawks’ team playing in the second game of a back-to-back without their starting PG Dennis Schroder.
Shooting Guard
Will Barton (DEN): $6,000 vs WAS
I want to get more exposure to the Wizards/Nuggets game which has the highest Vegas total and could be a shootout. Barton has played at least 28 minutes in each of the Nuggets’ games this season while topping 15 points and five rebounds in each game. He is reasonably priced at just $6,000 and has upside scoring potential.
Jeremy Lamb (CHA): $5,500 @ MIL
Lamb continues to start filling in for Nicolas Batum and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. He has averaged 33 minutes through the first two games while scoring 15 points in each matchup. The Bucks have given up some big production to opposing SGs so far this season with Jaylen Brown, Kyle Korver and C.J. McCollum all topping 17 points and hitting multiple three-pointers. Lamb is 0-for-8 from three-point range this season but he could get some open looks on Monday to increase is scoring and fantasy production.
Small Forward
Harrison Barnes (DAL): $6,100 vs GS
Barnes proved to be a very consistent scorer in his first season with the Mavericks last year. He topped 15 points in 62 out of 79 games. In three games against his former team, the Warriors, Barnes averaged 18.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He has averaged 36 minutes through his first three games this season and will need to have a good game to help the Mavericks keep up with the Warriors.
Wilson Chandler (DEN): $5,700 vs WAS
Rostering Chandler gives us another opportunity to get some fairly cheap exposure to the Wizards/Nuggets game. Chandler has played at least 29 minutes in each of the Nuggets’ games this season and is averaging 24.1 FanDuel points per game despite only scoring a total of 14 points while shooting 31.6% from the field. The scoring will come for the 30-year-old veteran who has averaged 14.0 points per game over his career. When the points do come he will exceed the value of his salary significantly.
Power Forward
James Johnson (MIA): $5,900 vs ATL
My recommendation of James Johnson hinges on the availability of Heat center Hassan Whiteside for Monday night’s matchup with the Hawks. If Whiteside misses his second straight game then you can fire up Johnson again, who drew the start on Saturday and played 30 minutes while scoring 14 points with eight rebounds and five blocked shots. While Johnson is still a decent play if Whiteside is out, I’d prefer to pivot to Zach Randolph at $5,500.
Frank Kaminsky (CHA): $5,000 @ MIL
With Cody Zeller out of the lineup on Friday, Kaminsky played 33 minutes and produced for DFS players with 21 points, six rebounds and three assists. Zeller will remain out of the lineup on Monday when the Hornets travel to Milwaukee to face the Bucks. Kaminsky should once again play 30-plus minutes which should allow him to easily exceed value on his low $5,000 salary.
Center
Andre Drummond (DET): $8,300 vs PHI
Drummond gets a favorable matchup against the Sixers who have allowed increased production in points and rebounds to opposing centers last season and early on this year. Drummond posted good numbers against the Sixers last season averaging 14.7 points, 15.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and a surprising 4.3 steals in three matchups. With the increased value on FanDuel for blocks and steals this season, Drummond could have some sneaky upside while still maintaining a solid floor.
