We have an 11 game slate, which really kicks off the NBA season. There are plenty of options all across the board, so filling out a roster won’t be tough. No stats to work with since we are at the start of the season, but we will get into plenty of that as the season goes on.

Guards
Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): $10,300 @ BOS
If you are looking to spend up at a spot tonight, consider Giannis. He is super expensive, but he has triple-double upside almost any night. He is the main offensive option for the Bucks, so he will see plenty of touches, and in a game with a projected total of 206.5, we should see a good amount of offense. Boston suffered a major loss last night with the Gordon Hayward injury, but in their home opener, they will want to come out strong.
Evan Turner (POR): $5,500 @ PHO
With CJ McCollum being suspended for the first game of the season, Turner is in a spot to see a bump in minutes. He is up against the Suns, who are not very good at defense, and also play a fast paced game. This is an ideal spot for a player like Turner; lower price, good match up, and Vegas has the over under set at 220 points, which is the highest on the slate. Should be viable in all formats if he gets the start, so be sure to check that he is in the starting lineup before lock.
Forwards
Jayson Tatum (BOS): $4,100 vs MIL
With Gordon Hayward going out with a leg injury on opening night, Tatum stands to gain some playing time. He had a very strong showing in his first ever NBA game last night, where he went for 30.25 DraftKings points. Being a rookie, you can’t expect him to have that stat line ever night, but with the playing time he could be getting, it puts him in a spot to hit value.
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA): $7,300 vs MIN
With Kawhi Leonard already being ruled out for this game, we should see some of the offense transfer into the hands of Aldridge. We all know he didn’t have the best numbers last year, but he still has double-double upside, and with the increased touches, there is plenty of time to hit value. The Spurs are only favored by 1.5 points, so he will be on the floor plenty, which means more time to rack up points.
Center
Rudy Gobert (UTA): $8,800 vs DEN
Gobert is a double-double machine, and is one of the more consistent players at the center position. Not the biggest offensive threat in the league, but he can do enough to draw defenders. Utah loves to slow the ball down and play a controlled game, so many don’t typically look there for players, which means potential for lower ownership. Gobert averaged 2.5 blocks per game last season which is huge, since blocks are worth two points on DraftKings. Great cash game option tonight.
