Boo! Tuesday night’s NBA Halloween slate is pretty scary despite just four games on the schedule. There will be one key decision that every DFS player will need to make, is it a “trick” to force in both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Russell Westbrook or will it be a “treat” to have them both in your lineup. There are a lot of value options on the slate, so I expect most people to try to fit them both in, especially in cash games. However, in GPPs it might be worth fading one of them so the rest of your lineup isn’t a bunch of zombies.

One Stud
Russell Westbrook (PG – OKC): $11,200 @ MIL
If I am only going to grab one of the high-priced studs it is going to be Westbrook. He offers $1,300 in salary savings and has a similar floor and upside as Antetokounmpo. He may have a hard time getting to a triple-double against the Bucks’ defense that has limited opposing PGs in rebounds and assists this season. However, he should take on more of the scoring load with Paul George focusing a lot of energy on defense trying to slow down Antetokounmpo.

Core Plays
Giannis Antetokounmpo (PG/SF – MIL): $12,500 vs OKC
Antetokounmpo has been nothing short of spectacular so far this season, scoring at least 28 points in every game while stuffing the stat sheet in every category. He draws a tougher matchup against Paul George and the Thunder who have allowed the seventh-fewest DraftKings points to opposing SFs. However, he should still play big minutes in a close game and on a short slate with plenty of value options to choose from paying up for both Antetokounmpo and Westbrook is still a good option.
Devin Booker (SG/SF – PHO): $7,900 @ BKN
That is enough talk about the two high-priced studs on the slate, so let’s turn our attention to the game with the highest Vegas total (230) between the Suns and the Nets featuring the two fastest pace teams in the league. Booker is coming off a season-high 34-point effort against the Blazers and is in a prime spot for another big game against a Nets’ defense that has allowed the most DraftKings’ points to opposing SGs this season.
D’Angelo Russell (PG – BKN): $7,300 vs PHO
On the other side of the court we have Russell who has seen limited minutes in the last two games with knee soreness but should be ready to jump back into 30 minutes of court time while posting around the 40 DraftKings points per game he had in his first four games of the season. The Suns have allowed the fifth most DraftKings points to opposing PGs and the most raw points to the position which is the main attribute Russell brings to the table. It could be an old-fashion shootout in Brooklyn.
Steven Adams (C – OKC): $5,800 @ MIL
Adams should have his way down low against the Bucks who will be without their only big banger, Greg Monroe in this one leaving slender options like Thon Maker and John Henson to try to check the Thunder’s big man. In his last four games, Adams has averaged a double-double with 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game and should post another double-double stat line on Tuesday.
Value Plays
Alex Len (PF/C – PHO): $4,800 @ BKN
Choosing which Suns’ big man to roster from game-to-game can be tricky. Both Len and Marquese Chriss ($4,100) and maybe even Dragan Bender ($3,400) can be considered in a favorable up-tempo matchup against the Nets. The Nets have allowed the third most DraftKings points to PFs and fourth most to Cs this season, so pick your favorite one or the one that fits your roster build the best.
Stanley Johnson (SG/SF – DET): $4,300 @ LAL
Johnson has been playing big minutes for the Pistons over the last three games averaging 36 per contest. As a result, his fantasy production has also risen averaging just shy of 25 DraftKings points per game during that stretch. His opponent, the Lakers, have allowed the second most DraftKings points to SFs this season in what should be an increased pace game for the Pistons.
Bogdan Bogdanovic (SG/SF – SAC): $4,300 @ IND
The Kings’ rookie has fared well in his first three games, averaging 22.8 DraftKings points while playing around 25 minutes per game. He has shot at a 51.6 percent clip to begin the season which should also give him the opportunity to see increased playing time against the Pacers in another up-tempo spot.
John Henson (C – MIL): $4,100 vs OKC
With Greg Monroe out on Sunday, Henson played a season-high 28 minutes on his way to 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals. He will have a tough time containing Steven Adams on the defensive end but should see big minutes again which will lead to production as long as he can stay out of foul trouble.
