We have a nine-game slate to kick off our week, which means plenty of options all across the board. There are five games which have over-unders at 215 points or higher, so you want to look there for some offense. Still a number of injuries going around, so look for value players who are taking those starting spots.

Guards
Patrick Beverley (LAC): $5,900 vs. GS
Beverley has scored 29 DraftKings points or more in three of his last four games and will be playing up in pace. The Clippers are at home against the Warriors who are a five points favorites, and it’s a favorable spot for Beverley. Whenever a player who plays on a slow-paced team is up against a team who plays at a higher pace, you may want to roster them. They will be seeing extra touches, which means more opportunity to hit value. Beverley has a 22% usage rate for the Clippers and is averaging 0.86 fantasy points per minute. He makes a good play for cash games since he has plenty of chances to pay off his salary. He’s not the best for tournaments, as he isn’t a true scorer, which limits his GPP upside.
Evan Fournier (ORL): $7,000 @ NO

Evan Fournier (ORL): $7,000 @ NO
Fournier is off to a hot start this season, as he has 36 or more DraftKings points in three of his last four games. He’s a great play in any format tonight, as he is in a game with a total set at 227 points. The Magic have an implied team total of 109 points, which is fourth highest on the slate. Fournier will also be playing up in pace, so he has plenty of chances to get extra touches and pay off his salary. He would need 35 DraftKings points to hit 5x value, which is ideal for cash games. Anything more than that, and he would break value, so rostering him in GPPs is also a good call.
Damian Lillard (POR): $8,700 vs. TOR
Lillard generally makes a great play any night, and tonight is no different. He has scored 38 DraftKings points or more in five of his six games this season, and you should not pass up the chance to roster him. Lillard and the Trail Blazers have an implied team total of 108 points, which is sixth highest on the slate. This game has an over-under set at 215 points, with Portland only favored by two points. This game should be high scoring and very back and forth, which means Lillard won’t be coming off the court late in the game, and thus, he will have plenty of chances with the ball to crush value.
Forwards
Ben Simmons (PHI): $9,200 @ HOU
Simmons has scored 42 DraftKings points or more in four straight games. The rookie phenom is off to a very hot start this season and has a 23% usage rate for Philadelphia. He is coming dangerously close to a double-double or a triple-double in nearly every game and is really filling the stat sheet. That is exactly the kind of player you want to target for DFS since rebounds and assists are so valuable. This game has the 76ers as a six-point underdog, with an implied team total of 105 points. Simmons makes a great play in any format tonight since he has shown he has a high floor, along with triple-double upside, which is needed in tournaments.
Nikola Jokic (DEN): $8,900 @ NY
I’m still convinced that Jokic is too cheap, considering the upside we saw from him last season. He has double-doubles in two straight games and should be considered for all game types tonight. Jokic has the potential to average a double-double, and with his price still under $10K, you should buy low while you can. He has a 22% usage rate on the Nuggets and will be seeing plenty of the ball against the Knicks, who are giving up 44 points per game vs power forwards. The Nuggets are a 3.5 point road favorite, with an implied team total of 105 points. This game doesn’t have one of the higher over-unders on the slate, which means other DFS players may overlook it, and Jokic could come in at lower ownership.
Centers
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA): $8,500 @ BOS
Aldridge has a 31% usage rate for the Spurs, which is nearly 8% higher than any other player on the team. With Kawhi Leonard out with an injury, Aldridge is seeing much more of the ball and has a double-double in three of his five games this season. Aldridge is up against the Celtics who are giving up 55 points per game vs centers, and exactly the kind of spot you want to target. The Spurs are a slight road dog but don’t be afraid to roster him since his usage and touches are so high.
Bam Adebayo (MIA): $3,200 vs. MIN
Adebayo has been seeing some minutes now that Hassan Whiteside is out with an injury. This gives you a chance to save a ton of money, and get a player who should be playing over 20 minutes a game. He has 13 DraftKings points or more in two straight games, and for his price, he really doesn’t need much to hit value. If he gets the start, you should lock him into your lineups since the savings are too good to pass up.
