FanDuel NBA Lineup Advice: Tuesday (1/24)
An easy matchup against the Nuggets may be what George Hill needs to get his consistency back

An easy matchup against the Nuggets may be what George Hill needs to get his consistency back

Tuesday night in the Association features a solid six-game slate which should have a lot of closely contested games with the biggest Vegas spread just three points. With very few high-priced studs on the slate, my cash game lineup has more of a balanced look to it.

As always be sure to watch for late-breaking news before tipoff, especially in San Antonio. My lineup recommendations each Tuesday will be focused on cash games (50/50, head-to-head, double ups) but can also be used in GPP tournaments.

You will notice that I reference some of my own custom stats in my NBA DFS articles that I use to help determine my favorite plays. I don’t use the common Defense versus Position (DvP) numbers that most use. Instead, I calculate blended percentages for each stat category (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks) that take into account team stats for the season and last five games, as well as a weighted average between similar positions. For example, my shooting guard DvP numbers are a blended between point guard (10%), shooting guard (70%) and small forward (20%) stats for each category.

Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe (PHX): $9,300 vs. MIN
Bledsoe has been red hot lately averaging over 51 FanDuel points in his last four games. He will play at home on Tuesday where he has averaged three more FanDuel points per game this season. Bledsoe will face the Timberwolves who have allowed fewer points (-1.8%) to point guards but have allowed increase production in rebounds (+4.7%), assists (+4.9%) and steal (+6.3%) which are all categories that Bledsoe contributes in.

George Hill (UTA): $6,300 @ DEN
Hill’s fantasy production has been a little erratic over the last three games with 17.9, 45.7 and 13.7 FanDuel points respectively. However, those fluctuations are largely due to the matchups so look for Hill to settle back into his typical consistent fantasy production around 30 FanDuel points a night going forward.

With a favorable matchup against the Nuggets who have allowed increased production in points, assists and steals to opposing PG, Hill should be able to exceed 30 FanDuel points and pay off at least five times his salary.

Others Options:

Shooting Guard

Dwyane Wade (CHI): $7,000 @ ORL
The Bulls are playing in the first game of a back-to-back Tuesday against the Magic before returning home to face the Hawks so he could see reduced minutes. However, there are a lot of potential landmines at the position tonight, so it is worth taking a shot on Wade who has one of the best matchups at the position against the Magic who have allowed increased production in points, rebounds and assists to opposing SG.

Bradley Beal (WAS): $6,700 vs. BOS
Beal is another shooting guard that carries some risk tonight. He is playing in the second game of a back-to-back one night after he was questionable with a knee injury.

He played 32 minutes and put up 28 FanDuel points Monday but be sure to watch to make sure he is healthy enough to play. If he does play he put up 45.4 FanDuel points in his last game against the Celtics.

Other Options:

Small Forward

Gordon Hayward (UTA): $7,400 @ DEN
Hayward is one of the more consistent players in the league. He has scored at least 27 FanDuel points in eight straight games and has the potential to put up 40 FanDuel points in a good matchup which he has tonight against the Nuggets. The Nuggets have allowed 6.6% more points to opposing SF.

Andrew Wiggins (MIN): $7,100 @ PHO
Wiggins’ excels when he can take advantage of a good matchup. He has scored at least 35 FanDuel points in each of his last two games against the Nuggets and Clippers.

Tonight, he will face the Suns who have allowed a slight increase in points to opposing SF. Look for Wiggins to produce another solid game.

Other Options:

Power Forward

Markieff Morris (WAS): $6,400 vs. BOS
Morris has been logging big minutes for the Wizards with at least 33 minutes in six of his last seven games. His fantasy production has followed with at least 28 FanDuel points in each of the games he has played at least 33 minutes. He will get a plus matchup against the Celtics who have allowed more points (+4.9%) and rebounds (+1.9%) to opposing PF.

David Lee (SAS): $5,100 @ TOR
Lee’s minutes have been on the rise since Pau Gasol went down with an injury. He has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last three games, averaging 32.1 FanDuel points during that stretch. Lee should play at least 25 minutes again on Tuesday against the Raptors who have allowed increased production in points, rebounds and blocks to opposing PF.

Other Options:

Center

Robin Lopez (CHI): $4,600 @ ORL
Lopez is not the kind of player that you get excited about rostering but priced at just $4,600, he has produced more than 5x his salary in each of his last seven games. He also has a good matchup against a Magic team that has allowed opposing centers to produce more points (+7.1%) and rebounds (+3.5%).
