Welcome to the Saturday edition of my FanDuel advice column. We have a nice sized Saturday slate today with eight games on the docket.

My lineup tonight will consist mainly of players from only three of those games, the two early games, and the one late game, but I think those games are the ones we will find the most fantasy points. Let’s jump in…

Point Guard

Isaiah Thomas (BOS): $9,300 vs. NO
After two 50-plus FanDuel point games for Thomas, he came back to earth a little in his last game against the Sixers, but a matchup with the defensively challenged New Orleans Pelicans could put him back in the 50-plus FD point column again. Only the Nets are worse than the Pelicans over the last four weeks in points allowed to opposing point guards.

Reggie Jackson (DET): $7,100 @ POR
Jackson has strung together some pretty impressive performances over his last four games including a 47.4 game against the Pacers two games ago. Tonight he gets a matchup with the Blazers, a team he averaged 51.6 FanDuel points against in two games last year. There are only four teams worse than the Trail Blazers in total fantasy points allowed per game on the year, so you will see more than one Piston in this lineup for tonight.

Shooting Guard

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): $5,500 @ POR
The second Piston in this lineup, Caldwell-Pope will look to get back on track after a lackluster performance in his last outing against the Hornets. Previous to that game, Caldwell-Pope had three straight double-digit “real-life” point games including a 39.7 FanDuel performance in Miami. The Blazers defend the shooting guard position better than any other position, but they are still in the bottom ten.

Buddy Hield (NO): $4,200 @ BOS
The defense of the Boston backcourt typically scares me off most opposing guards. But when that player, over his last two games, is shooting 15-plus times, averaging over 33 minutes, scoring over 10 points more than his season average, and is only priced at $4,200, that is too hard to pass up.

Small Forward

Jimmy Butler (CHI): $9,300 vs. TOR
Overall, the Raptors are a good defensive team, but if there is one place they struggle it’s defending the small forwards in this league. Butler has been a little up and down on the season, but in a plus matchup on three days rest he should have no issues putting up another big game.

Paul George (IND): $7,900 vs NY
George is one of the least liked players in the DFS community for his propensity to put up a clunker at the most inopportune times, but his upside at $7,900 is worth the risk tonight. He gets a weak defensive team, on the second game of a back to back, that just played a hard fought game in which they had to come back from 13 points down in the fourth quarter. If that still doesn’t convince you to roster George tonight, you can pivot to Carmelo Anthony from this same game with the same price.

Power Forward

Jon Leuer (DET): $4,800 @ POR
Our third and final Piston in this lineup, Leuer has a great matchup with the Trail Blazers who rank dead last in points allowed to opposing power forwards. He is a little risky because he isn’t a first or even third option on offense for the Pistons, but he does rebound well and is capable of double-digit scoring.

Al-Farouq Aminu (POR): @ DET $4,800
Aminu has put up two back to back good outings in games against the Warriors and Lakers, and while the Pistons represent a tougher challenge, I still think Aminu can reach value tonight. He is averaging over 35 minutes per game over his last three and is capable of both double-digit scoring and double-digit rebounding, both of which he has done at least once over his last two games. I’ll go out on a limb and say he flirt with a double-double tonight, let’s say 12 points and 10 rebounds for him tonight.

Center

Myles Turner (IND): $7,100 vs. NY
I’m still kicking myself for not playing him the other night against the Nets. My spreadsheet had him as the No. 1 overall play at the center position that night, but I choose to go a different route. Oh well, no sense crying over spilled milk.

He gets another great matchup with what could amount to a tried Knicks team on the second game of a back to back. I wouldn’t expect 55 from him again, but I’ll take 40.
