Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers (GB): $7,800 vs. IND (31.5% Own %)
Rodgers is averaging 23.3 DKP per game, and he’s averaging nearly 40 pass attempts per contest, which is due to the pass-first approach the Packers have deployed. Rodgers’ efficiency leaves a little to be desired (6.3 yards per attempt), but the volume certainly helps to offset this. The Packers have an implied team total of 31 points, and the matchup couldn’t be much better against the Colts. This feels like one of the weeks where you will want to have some exposure to Rodgers in tournaments despite high ownership levels, as he appears poised for a monster game.

Running Back

Charcandrick West (KC): $4,400 vs. JAX (59.6% Own %)

Much like Devontae Booker last week, West figures to have some very high ownership levels in Week 9. While he doesn’t possess quite as much upside as Booker did, he certainly is the chalk play with Spencer Ware on the shelf against the Jaguars. Sometimes eating the chalk, however, isn’t a bad move for a cheap running back that will have plenty of touches.

The Chiefs are big favorites at home, and they will be rolling out Nick Foles at quarterback, so I look for a run-heavy approach. Jacksonville has struggled against the run this season, and they’ve allowed five rushing touchdowns over their last three games, which means there’s a strong chance West easily pays off his modest salary this week.

Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown (PIT): $8,900 @ BAL (64.3% Own %)
Ben Roethlisberger is listed as questionable, but it appears that he is trending in the right direction for a return this week. Now that he has his quarterback in the lineup, Brown figures to return to his place atop the fantasy world among receivers. I look for double-digit targets against the Ravens, whom the Steelers have had two weeks to prepare for. I am also not concerned with the potential matchup with Jimmy Smith, as Brown should be able to feast regardless of who tries to slow him.

Tight End

Greg Olsen (CAR): 6,200 @ LA (16.2% Own %)
This is shaping up as a good week to go cheap at tight end, but if you want a safe floor, Olsen is typically your guy. The Rams rank 10th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends, but Olsen is always a threat in the red zone, so I don’t mind owning a share or two in tournaments.

D/ST

Kansas City Chiefs (KC): $3,500 vs. JAX (27.4% Own %)
The Chiefs are big favorites at home, as they face a Jacksonville team that has an implied team total of 18.25 points. While I wish they were just a bit cheaper, it’s tough to pass on the takeaway potential (Chiefs are tied for the league lead), especially against a turnover-prone team (Jaguars have the sixth-most giveaways).
