In Week 5, a handful of no-name wide receivers finished top ten at their position, while elite players like Aaron Rodgers, C.J. Anderson, A.J. Green and Julio Jones mystified fantasy owners with bust games. These surprises humbled many fantasy experts, but a few stood above the pack, magically predicting the nearly unpredictable. As always, you can check out the entire standings in our accuracy section.

Going into the week, Matt Camp (Bleacher Report) wasn’t ranked within the top 100 year-to-date experts, but that changed in a hurry as he finished as this week’s top overall expert. Congrats to Matt on a huge week and a major step towards turning his season around. Matt accomplished victory by finishing #2 among the experts in ranking running backs, #23 for wideouts and #24 for QBs. He secured the high RB grade by calling the huge Ezekiel Elliott game, another big Tevin Coleman performance and being bearish on popular breakout candidate, DeAndre Washington. He was wise on Aaron Rodgers, ranking him #5, while the expert consensus rankings (ECR) had him as QB #1 (Rodgers finished QB #14). His best call at wide receiver was when he ranked Amari Cooper a remarkable 11 spots better than the consensus. Cooper’s consensus rank was WR #17, but he finished WR #3.

We are to the point in the season, where the year-to-date leaderboard doesn’t see much movement, and that’s what we have here, as the top five’s only change was #4 and #5 flipping spots. Jake Ciely (RotoExperts), who has finished #3, #4 and #4 out of over 120 experts each of the past three seasons, made his move into this year’s top 10 where he hopes to stay. Sean Koerner (STATS) put even more distance between himself and second place, Brett Talley (The Fantasy Fix) when Koerner finished #14 in Week 5 while Talley was down at #91. Third place, Dan Clasgens (Get Sports Info) made a big move towards the #2 spot by securing the #37 Week 5 rankings.
