Week 2 Expert Accuracy Rankings

Who called Matt Ryan’s dominant Week 2 performance?

Oddly, some experts seemingly managed to see into the future and predict the madness. Below are the 10 experts who navigated the uncertainty better than the rest. As always, you can check out the entire standings in our accuracy section.

Congrats to George Banko (Fantasy Football Helpers) who had a superb week, highlighted by his No. 2 rankings at both running back and wide receiver. At the running back position, he nudged countless players in the right direction, but the big story was Melvin Gordon, who he slotted No. 8, a whopping 19 spots higher than the consensus rankings. Likewise, he was far and away the most accurate expert on WR 1, Stefon Diggs, who he had 21 spots higher than ECR (from 35 to 14). Somehow, George also managed to slide Travis Benjamin 12 spots higher than ECR, Kelvin Benjamin into his top 10 and Mike Wallace 26 spots better than consensus. Banko didn’t stop there, he was also 10 spots closer than ECR to the actual rankings on Sterling Shepard, 26 closer on Emmanuel Sanders, 19 on Sammy Watkins, 15 on Jeremy Maclin and 14 on Jordan Matthews. To succeed in that many instances is a truly remarkable feat.

You may have noticed some familiar names at the top of the Week 2 leaderboard. Astonishingly, Dan Clasgens, numberFire Site Projections and Greg Smith all finished in the top 10 (out of 135!) two consecutive weeks. Unsurprisingly, they appear at the top of our season long leaderboard. While it is very early, back to back performances like that have given our top three a major leg up on the rest of the field for the remainder of the season.

We’ll be back again after the games this weekend to provide another update on the experts making the most accurate predictions. Until then, be sure to check out the experts’ weekly rankings to help with your lineup decisions.
