Props to Dan Clasgens (Get Sports Info) for putting together the top overall week among the experts. Dan is no stranger to the top five, having finished there twice in 2014, but this was his first No. 1 performance. He did it by putting up the 2nd best QB rankings and 12th best WR rankings which include him accurately slotting Andrew Luck and Drew Brees as the No. 1 and No. 2 QBs. Clasgens’ boldest move that paid off was moving Jordan Matthews seven spots ahead of ECR (No. 31 to No. 24). The Eagles’ receiver finished with 17.4 fantasy points, good for sixth among wide receivers. Dan was also bullish on Eric Ebron, who finished fourth among tight ends in scoring. Perhaps most important, is that Dan did not make any major mistakes, for instance, he was skeptical to rank Adrian Peterson or Dez Bryant as high as the consensus, plus he avoided outlandish rankings like moving Devin Funchess into the top 20.
It is worth noting that last season’s No. 1 in-season accuracy expert, Sean Koerner (STATS) just finished outside the top 10 at No. 11. Meanwhile, this week’s No. 4 Raymond Summerlin (Rotoworld) picked up right where he left off after finishing No.3 in the 2015 draft accuracy rankings.
