Q1. Give us your thoughts on a waiver wire target (or two) you especially like as a pickup.
“It looks like Jeremy Langford may miss 4-6 weeks with a sprained ankle. John Fox didn’t exactly seem psyched about Langford and his 3.7 yards per carry pre-injury, and this could open the door for Jordan Howard to step into the lead back role in Chicago. You don’t get THAT many opportunities to pick up a potential season-long starter during the fantasy football season, and while I don’t love the Bears potential game flow situations, Howard is my number one pickup this week.”
– Nick Raducanu (ProjectRoto)
“Terrelle Pryor after Jordan Howard, I really like Pryor as a waiver add because he’s posting stats as a QB and WR. Until Josh Gordon returns, Pryor will remain the primary receiving threat, and even once Josh Gordon returns, Pryor could possibly be throwing touchdowns to Gordon as well. Additionally, the return of Gordon could actually help Pryor as a WR because all defensive secondary eyes will be on Josh Gordon.”
– Scott Whitfield (Roto Rankings)
“Jordan Howard and Terrelle Pryor are the obvious hot calls right now, but Quincy Enunwa is the guy who has been rock solid through three weeks, yet seems to be floating under the radar a bit. He was already a solid pickup, but with Brandon Marshall not 100%, he should be high on everyone’s list.”
– Kevin Roberts (Breaking Football)
“My top add this week would be Bears RB Jordan Howard. He should be the clear cut #1 target this week as he should take over the role as the Bears’ No. 1 RB. Jeremy Langford has looked terrible this season and Bears OC Dowell Loggains did say he looked faster than he did in preseason this past week. This was one of the main knocks on Howard going into the year.”

Q2. For owners renting a D/ST in Week 4, what readily available option should they target and why?
“This line of thinking didn’t work out for Miami this week, but the Washington Redskins look to have a nice home matchup next week against what should be the Browns’ third-string quarterback. Cleveland did a nice job designing some plays for Tyrelle Pryor in Week 3 and will likely do the same again in Week 4, but I still think Washington will be able to keep the Browns from scoring a ton (while also forcing some turnovers). Even though I usually look to target opponents who are giving the ball away more than the Browns are, Washington is tied for 10th in takeaways and should make for a nice streaming option next week.”
– Nick Raducanu (ProjectRoto)
“The Washington Redskins are my pick for the same reason the Miami Dolphins were a top pick up last week. They’ll face Cody Kessler and the Cleveland Browns, but the Redskins have a slight advantage that the Dolphins did not, a full tape of live game action on Kessler.”
– Scott Whitfield (Roto Rankings)
“I would target the Washington Redskins defense at home versus the Browns. I think Washington will do a better job at handling Terrelle Pryor than Miami did this past week. Using DFS pricing in yearly leagues goes often overlooked. Washington is priced 8th on FanDuel, and 4th on DraftKings.”
– Sean Beazley (EDSFootball)
“I really don’t get why no one is into the Baltimore Ravens this year. It isn’t always sexy, but through three weeks, they haven’t give up more than 20 points in any game. They’re getting pressure on the quarterback even without Elvis Dumervil around and it feels like the turnovers and defensive scores will come. A matchup this week with the Raiders isn’t ideal, but the Ravens are at home and so far have done enough to get a cursory glance if your unit is on a bye.”
