With more and more fantasy owners opting to wait on the quarterback and tight end positions in drafts, streaming each position has become a viable option. This is made easier by the fact that there are usually solid options on the waiver wire. Each week this column will scour the waiver wire and look for quarterbacks and tight ends who are owned in fewer than 50% of leagues and could be worth starting for your fantasy team.
All ownership percentages come from Yahoo fantasy leagues and all references to fantasy points allowed per game come from the fantasy points allowed (PA) reports on FantasyPros. All references to DVOA (Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average) come from rankings on www.footballoutsiders.com. A detailed explanation of DVOA can be found here.

Quarterback
Jameis Winston – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (40% owned)
vs. New Orleans
In Week 13, Cam Newton was a highly recommended quarterback in fantasy circles based off the fact he was facing the New Orleans Saints. He did not disappoint, throwing for five touchdowns in the game. The Saints have now allowed 35 passing touchdowns on the season, including 21 in five games since Week 8. That mark is already a team record for futility with four more games left to play. Winston is the top streaming option this weekend and possesses immense upside. With Tampa Bay also unable to stop the opposition’s passing game (24th in DVOA) this could develop into a high-scoring shootout.
Ryan Fitzpatrick – New York Jets (44% owned)
vs. Tennessee Titans
Fitzpatrick has really heated up over his past two games, throwing for 667 yards and six touchdowns. He gets to take on a Tennessee defense that was just lit up by Blake Bortles for five touchdowns in Week 13. Tennessee is 14th in the league when it comes to fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks through Week 12, but only one point separates them from the 7th ranked team (Oakland). Look for Fitzpatrick to continue to lean on his star receivers, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, in Week 14.
Tight End
Austin Seferian-Jenkins – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (36% owned)
vs. New Orleans Saints
Just as Jameis Winston is a top streamer against the Saints, so is Seferian-Jenkins. Finally healthy after sitting out since Week 2, Seferian-Jenkins is in a prime spot to deliver some fantasy points this weekend. In Week 13, he saw a decent amount of passes on a limited snap count, as Winston sent six targets his way. The New Orleans defense is ranked last in the league in both pass defense DVOA and pass defense DVOA against tight ends specifically. Seferian-Jenkins is a high-end streaming option this weekend.
Jacob Tamme – Atlanta Falcons (40% owned)
@ Carolina Panthers
Tamme should be locked in as his team’s second option in the passing game now that Leonard Hankerson is out for the rest of the season. With Julio Jones likley to be shadowed and subsequently locked down by top cornerback Josh Norman, look for some extra targets to funnel their way toward Tamme. The matchup is daunting as Carolina is tough against tight ends, but Tamme should see a healthy dose of targets in this game which should keep his floor intact.
