Brandon Jennings will miss the remainder of the 2014-2015 season with a torn achilles. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Jennings left the Pistons loss on Saturday with a lower leg injury. Jennings confirmed on Twitter on Sunday, that he will miss six to nine months with a torn achilles. Coach Stan Van Gundy called this a huge blow to the team and the team confirmed the injury as well.

Fantasy Impact

This is devastating for the Pistons, as Jennings is one of the better players for a recently peaking team. Jennings has averaged 15 points per game or more in each of his six NBA seasons and is averaging 6.6 assists per game this year as well. All is not lost with the Pistons, as D.J. Augustin is a very capable player, as evidenced by his 35 points against Toronto yesterday in his fourth start of the season. He also added eight assists and four rebounds in the game, showing that he can be a viable option for Detroit. He should be seen as a must-add in fantasy leagues for owners needing guard help, but keep in mind that Augustin has only averaged 10 points and 4.1 assists over his five-plus NBA seasons. This also may give more opportunity for second-year player Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who has seen an increase in playing time and production this season.
