Final Beat the Expert Results: Chicago Finally Won Something

It’s a tough time to be a Chicago Bears fan. At least Indianapolis knew their season was lost after the Manning surgery news hit. In Chicago, it was a painful 5-game skid without Cutler, capped off by a playoff elimination at the hands of their NFC North nemesis, Green Bay Packers. Well, in true holiday spirit, I’m happy to announce that Chicago won something this year thanks to their resident fantasy football expert, Andy Behrens from Yahoo.
 
Andy is our Beat the Expert champion after fending off 14 other featured experts, including runner ups Chris Wesseling from Rotoworld and Justin Sablich from The New York Times. These three experts beat out over 90% of the field during their respective featured weeks. Andy was the top expert in our Week 16 Championship, finishing in the top 15% out of 1,348 entries. This follows up his top 1.2% showing earlier this season, and his top 7.7% showing last year. And he’s not just a salary cap stud, he was our most accurate overall expert from 2009 and #3 in 2010. Nice job all around, Andy.
 
Andy was playing for his hometown charity, the Greater Chicago Food Depository. GCFD is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in Chicago. The Food Depository distributes donated and purchased food through a network of 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to 678,000 adults and children in Cook County every year.
 
FantasyPros will donate $1,000 to GCFD on Andy’s behalf. Another $1,000 will be split among the chosen charities of our other top experts.
