View More NotesThe last time we saw Dalton with an extended run as an NFL starter was in 2022 with the Saints. Dalton was low-key balling that season. Among 41 qualifying quarterbacks, he was first in highly accurate throw rate and CPOE, eighth in yards per attempt, and 11th in passer rating. Dalton should be able to post solid QB2 numbers this week against a Raiders' secondary that ranks 20th in yards per attempt while giving up the fifth-highest CPOE. Las Vegas also has the lowest pressure rate in the NFL.

Dalton was able to return to practice on Wednesday. He ended up being a full participant, so it looks like he's strongly trending towards being active in Week 9. The Panthers are still planning on starting Bryce Young this week, however, but they have yet to make a determination on who their starter will be for the remainder of the season.
