Chargers place Ladarius Green on season-ending IR with ankle injury

The San Diego Chargers have battled the injury bug all season long, and this week is no different. They have officially placed TE Ladarius Green on season-ending IR with an ankle injury. He will undergo surgery in hopes of being recovered and full speed by the start of the 2016 season. (Michael Gehlken on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
As an unrestricted free agent in 2016, the Chargers will hope to lock him down with a contract. However, after he showcased his skill set in the absence of Antonio Gates, he could see a healthy open market. His fantasy value for 2016 will be directly tied to either the return of Antonio Gates or his integration to a new team.
