Mike Conley’s streak ends in win over the Grizzlies

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Timberwolves Correspondent | Thu, Feb 29th 12:45pm EST

Mike Conley totaled four points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, and seven assists in the Timberwolves’ 110-101 win over the Grizzlies.

Fantasy Impact:

Conley's streak of double-digit scoring efforts came to an end at two, but he was able to register 7.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds, saving his otherwise underwhelming night. His conservative game and seemingly efficiency-dependent means of production could make him a very frustrating player to roster and deploy. However, being on a winning team and having a sizable role as their primary floor general carries a weight not easily found this late in the season. Up next are the Kings, who rank 23rd in opponent points, 10th in opponent rebounds, 22nd in opponent assists, tied 16th in opponent steals, and 8th in opponent blocks. It's not an ideal matchup, but it could yield worthwhile production in assists.
