Rockets forward Usman Garuba, who was a first round pick in 2021, will undergo surgery on his injured right wrist. Garuba is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks, putting his potential timetable to return in mid-to-late March. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The 19-year old Garuba last played in a game for Houston on January 10 and has only appeared in 15 games all year with minimal minutes and fantasy impact. There is no immediate fantasy impact to be noted here. Although this injury all but ends Garuba's season, with the Rockets currently in last place, it would not be surprising if Garuba has another shot at playing time if back healthy at the end of March.
