The Chicago White Sox have declined their half of a 2024 mutual option on pitcher Mike Clevinger. (MLB Transaction Tracker on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Rather than pay the right-hander $12 million for the 2024 season, the White Sox decided to cut ties and pay Clevinger a $4 million buyout. He posted a 3.77 ERA across 24 starts with the club in the 2023 season.
