Adbert Alzolay has been placed on the 15-day IL due to a right forearm strain, retroactive to 9/10. (Meghan Montemurro on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Alzolay had reported some pain in his forearm and the Cubs were taking it day by day with their closer. Now, they have opted for a trip to the IL is what is best. Michael Fulmer was activated from the IL in a corresponding move, and he could see some save chances alongside Julian Merryweather and Mark Leiter Jr.
