Kole Calhoun granted release by Yankees

Fantasy Impact:
Signed to a minor-league deal in April, Calhoun exercised his June 1 opt-out clause and rather than adding him to their MLB roster, the club elected to grant him his release. The right fielder enjoyed a massive, pandemic-shortened 2020 season but has since struggled, hitting just .196 with 12 homers, three steals, and a .587 OPS across 125 games with the Texas Rangers last season.
