Fantasy Impact:
Springs left his last start early due to an arm issue and the worst-case scenario has been confirmed as he will indeed undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the remainder of the season. Springs was breaking out as a fantasy ace this season with 16 innings of one-run ball with 24 strikeouts on the young season but the left-hander is now out until at least the All-Star break in 2024. Prospect Taj Bradley is in line to take Springs' spot on the Rays' roster.
