Cade Cavalli to have Tommy John surgery

Cade Cavalli was diagnosed with a grade 3 sprain of his UCL. He will need Tommy John surgery and will miss the entire 2023 season. (Andrew Golden on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Cavalli left his last start after feeling discomfort in his elbow. This is tough news for the 24-year-old top prospect who likely would have had a shot at a rotation spot to start the season. He will be out for the entire 2023 season and will miss some time in 2024 as well.
