Scott Effross to have Tommy John surgery

Fantasy Impact:
This is a tough blow for the Yankees as they don't just lose Effross for the postseason, but for likely the entire 2023 season as well. Effross had a 2.13 ERA, 3 saves, and 12 Ks in 12.2 innings after being traded to New York, and could have been in the mix for saves in 2023. Clay Holmes will likely be the primary closer for the Yankees in this postseason and beyond.
