“It is never good to fall in love with patterns. But Alex Rios and his power has been up one season/down the next season throughout his career. He is coming off of an amazing 25 HR/23 SB season, while hitting over .300, and there is a good chance he repeats these numbers again in 2013. The plan is to hit Rios 3rd everyday in the White Sox order, which should lead to an easy 100 RBIs. Something Alex has never done in his 9 year career.”
“Trout comes into this season 30 LBs heavier than his day 1 weight in 2012. Those 49 SBs are likely to drop, but the 30 HRs could go up to 50 now that he knows he is the best player in baseball. No question he will lead the MLB in runs.”
“When was the last time someone burst onto the fantasy baseball scene at age 21 like this guy? Even if he regresses, he?s putting up first-round value in all five categories, and who knows if he?s going to regress at all? ”
“BA may regress, but he should be able to at least match his 5 months of 2012 production playing a full season in 2013”
“My drafting philosophy over the years has been risk adverse in the early draft rounds. Your first round pick is the anchor and foundation of your team. And although Mike Trout had an outstanding rookie season, he?s only done it one time. We have such a small sample size in one season, or do we? If you take a look at last season and his time in the minor leagues, they don?t compare. Year AB HR HR/AB SB Att SB CS SB Success Rate AVG 2010 508 10 50....”
“Potential for one of the best seasons ever, but sophomore slump is a possibility”
