Player Note on Liam Hendriks (RP - CWS)
The 1A for me. Only concern is historical evidence (2018-2018). Appears to have settled into closer role. Combo of opportunity and coach should keep him 1st or 2nd RP off the board.
Player Note on Mark Melancon (RP - ARI)
Signs with the Padres (pending physical) and one could assume immediately slots into a significant role. I am a little less optimistic. I like Pomeranz and Pagan to eat enough save opps to keep Melancon off my target list.

Looks as if he will be the lead for saves in Oak. The rumor mill has them entertaining the idea of another arm...*Update*----as predicted, they brought in another arm...Rosenthal.

Recent news of Lucas Sims' elbow tightness gives Garrett a little tighter grip on 9th inning role. Improving dominance is encouraging, and the signing of Doolittle gives a little lefty assurance for the matchups.
