We are moving on from Week 1 of the NBA season and starting Week 2. If you do not have the patience to deal with a season-long league, maybe DFS is for you. FanDuel and DraftKings might be popular choices, but I urge you to take a look at Yahoo. Yahoo has unveiled their own version of daily fantasy and it is top notch. This will be the first of many of these advice columns. Below is a lineup I expect to do well on Tuesday.

PG – Kyle Lowry $32
Lowry is the second most expensive PG on Tuesday, but I think he will be worth it. The Raptors are currently undefeated, and Lowry has played a big part in their success. Lowry has been fantasy gold as of late. He is averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game. Lowry has been able to generate steals and can shoot the occasional three. I know it is early, but Lowry is looking to have a career year. Tuesday will be Toronto’s toughest matchup to date, but Lowry and the Raptors should put up a good fight.
SG – Jimmy Butler $33
Butler is the new face of the Chicago Bulls. He is one of the best all-around players in the NBA. He can score, rebound, and dish out assists. He can shoot three-pointers and is a great defender. Butler is usually very careful with the ball too. Butler is a great option and will see an average of 35 minutes per game. His volume alone will help him generate fantasy points. Butler is currently averaging 38.6 fantasy points per game on Yahoo. He is averaging over 19 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Butler and the Bulls draw a great matchup against a struggling Hornets team.
G – Darren Collison $15
Collison is a value pick. He has been averaging 14.0 points and 5.0 assists off the bench and should see an increase in minutes with DeMarcus Cousins dealing with an Achilles injury. Even if Collison does not enter the starting lineup, he has seen an average of 29.7 minutes per game, enough to put up successful fantasy points. Collison is currently averaging 23.8 fantasy points on Yahoo. He draws a tough matchup against the Grizzlies, but I expect him to do well enough for his salary.
SF – Marcus Morris $23
Morris is thriving on the Pistons this year. He has a career average of only nine points per game, but this year he is averaging 19.3 points per game. He has a great ability to spread the floor and has been magnificent thus far this season. Morris is averaging over 30 fantasy points per game on Yahoo and leads the Pistons in scoring. He is getting 38 minutes per night and with a salary of only $23, he should generate great value in this lineup. Morris and the Pistons will face off against a disappointing Pacers team. The Pacers have been struggling and the Pistons should be able to exploit this matchup.
PF – Nikola Mirotic $29
Mirotic is a budding star in the NBA. He received Rookie-of-the-Year Award votes last season and has started off hot this year too. Mirotic is now starting and averaging 18.8 points per game. Mirotic can shoot threes left and right. He can also use his size to rebound. He is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game and is pulling in an average of 30.2 fantasy points on Yahoo. Just like Jimmy Butler, Mirotic will be facing off against a bad Hornets team. Look for the Bulls to roll past the Hornets, and both Butler and Mirotic should have big games.
F – Kent Bazemore $15
This is another value play. This is also a risky option. Bazemore has been unbelievable over the last two games. However, he has a tougher matchup against Miami on Tuesday. Bazemore is averaging 22.7 points on Yahoo. He has been shooting the deep ball well lately and that has contributed to his success. Bazemore is averaging 11 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, but has scored 39 in back-to-back wins. This option should be a little contrarian and help you cash out if Bazemore has just an average game.
C – Willie Cauley-Stein $19
Cauley-Stein has averaged 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks over the last two games. He is getting a little over 20 minutes per game and taking advantage of his minutes. With Cousins likely to not play on Tuesday, Cauley-Stein’s value is even greater. Look to take advantage of this salary while you can. He is currently averaging 21.5 fantasy points per game on Yahoo. Cauley-Stein will see a tough matchup against Marc Gasol, but with the projected added minutes Cauley-Stein should prove to be a great value on Tuesday.
UTIL – Paul Millsap $32
Millsap, like Jimmy Butler, is a well-rounded option in this lineup. He can score, rebound, and even pass the ball efficiently. Millsap had a great fantasy game on Sunday against the Hornetts. He was 7-of-13 from the field and had six boards, six assists, and two blocks. This was the second good game for the PF, and I expect that to continue on Tuesday. Millsap will have to step it up against a good Miami team. However, I do not see his performance faltering as he is averaging over 37 fantasy points on Yahoo.
